Welcome to the personal and professional website of Kenneth (Ken) Rossato, software consultant in the Washington, DC metro region. I have a passion for helping teams develop stable, high-performance C, C++, and Go applications in Cloud, Edge, and Embedded environments, working primarily in Red Hat Enterprise Linux and OpenShift Container Platform.

As a consultant, I have led teams in software feature development as well as guided teams through platform migrations, automation of packaging and release workflows, and migrations to container environments. I have collaborated with IT teams to deliver platform-as-a-service patterns to internal development teams.

As an application team technical lead, I teach Linux kernel interfaces, debugging practices, performance profiling and optimization, Linux package development, package distribution, and configuration management. I am skilled at addressing issues in application correctness, memory safety, concurrency, and efficient network communication and message passing. I have over 20 years of experience in the C++ language and stay up to date with current standards.
